My Process
Ongoing conversation. Meeting with the team and community to discuss current goals and wishlist items is something I value highly because I want everyone to feel they have a voice in the product. I’ve noticed that just having regular conversations with folks not only helps to keep me in the loop but great ideas can bubble up!
Information gathering. Deep dives on competitors is critical in making sure we’re creating something that is a healthy balance of familiar, different and needed. I am always digging into products to try and understand why certain decisions were made and what purpose they serve. This and a combination of data helps me to make educated decisions. If I don’t know the answer to a question, I will find it!
Organizing. Whether it’s facilitating discussion or constructing documentation, I am always looking for ways to make the team more efficient. I am keen at finding holes in the process and the product and providing solutions to fill them.
Projects
The below examples are challenges we faced with a “live” product (we were in public, open early access) and how we handled them.
